What is the difference between TUV certification and VDE certification

1、Different nature

TuV mark is a safety certification customized by German TUV agency for electronic component products, which is widely recognized in Germany and EU countries. VDE is directly involved in the development of German national standards and is one of the most authoritative certification bodies in Europe with a high reputation in the world. It completes more than 20,000 certification projects for more than 2,000 German manufacturers and almost 5,000 manufacturers from other countries every year. To date, more than 180,000 electrical products from nearly 40 countries around the world have been certified by VDE.

2、Different roles

After the products have passed the certification, German TUV agency will recommend these products from qualified component suppliers to the purchasing OEMs, and the components that have obtained TuV mark can be exempted from inspection in the process of OEM certification.

Most machine manufacturers in the certification process and these requirements into a whole, requiring their respective electrical safety parts suppliers to ensure that the products provided meet the certification requirements, which is the main reason why more and more parts manufacturers hope to obtain the VDE certification mark.

3、Different focus
